A Life Between Country & City

I was raised with the sound of roosters crowing, goats bleating, and the scent of fresh hay, with the comfort of family close by.

“Forget fresh hay — my childhood smelled like cow, goat, and rabbit poop… with a side of pee.””

My grandparents’ homestead was alive with cows, goats, lambs, rabbits, ducks, chickens, etc. It was noisy, a little messy, and full of life. For a girl like me, it was magical — And the smell? The kind you can’t quite bottle, though many candle scent makers have tried. Let’s just say it was authentic. Fresh cow, goat, and rabbit poop — with a side of pee — drifting through the air. That was my childhood, and strangely enough, I loved it.

Fast forward to today, and you’ll find me in sunny Florida, blending that old-fashioned love for simple living with a touch of city sparkle. My home is now a mix of laughter, pets, and everyday moments worth savoring. Through this blog, I’m inviting you to step into my world — where nostalgia meets modern life, and where we celebrate the beauty in both.

I’ve lived in many settings — from rural quiet to bustling city streets — and I’ve learned to find beauty in both. I like to think of myself as a little bit country, a little bit city, and endlessly exploring, usually with humor and a sprinkle of sarcasm to keep the journey light.

Through this blog, my goal is simple: to connect with you. I’ll be sharing ideas, inspiration, and stories to help you create a life that feels beautiful, joyful, and uniquely yours. Let’s celebrate more often, savor the moments, and enjoy the journey — because the more we celebrate life, the better it gets.

So… shall we begin?
